Covid – 19 Notice
We are excited to get back to work and see all our patients again!
At this time Dr. Herget is continuing to start providing all aspects of dental care keeping the proper health and safety protocols in place.
There are a few changes that we want to tell everyone about, that will be coming to the office.
– We will be texting/emailing a digital Covid-19 screening questionnaire before your appointment (if you have a symptoms of any kind we ask that you reschedule your appointment)
– We need to keep the numbers limited in our office so we ask that you wait in your car and we will send you a text or call you to let you know when to come in.
– We will have hand sanitizer ready for you and we will also take your temperature when you come in.
– Ivory Dental on 130th already implements universal precautions with infection prevention control standards and during this time we also following the new standards set in place by AHS, the Alberta Dental Association and College and the CRDHA for us to treat every patient in the safest way possible.
Dr. Garett Herget
Dr. Garett Herget grew up in the Calgary / Okotoks region. First having lived in Okotoks, his family moved to Calgary, but he continued to finish high school in Okotoks at the Foothills Composite High School. Once finished high school Dr. Herget did not commence post-secondary school right away, he spent a year living in Australia and LasVegas, before heading on a two-year mission where he spent in the Paris France area. Dr. Herget attributes these three years after high school as the foundation for the years to come. Shortly after returning home from France, he soon met who would be his sweetheart. He and his wife Jodi were soon married. They since have had seven children, 3 boys and 4 girls who are full of energy.
Dr. Herget started his post-secondary studies at St. Marys University College, in Calgary. After St. Marys Dr. Herget completed a biological science degree at the University of Calgary. Once finished at UofC, he was fortunate to be accepted to the dental program at the University of Alberta. After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree Dr. Herget started working in Calgary and then transitioned to work at Siksika Dental on the Siksika Reserve, and now has the chance to serve back in Calgary. Dr. Herget’s goal is to provide honest dentistry and treat everyone how he would treat his family.
